Privacy PolicyJellyBlue Privacy Policy: What This Desk Holds and Why
This website collects almost nothing. Card details are typed on the seller’s checkout and never on this site. What the order desk holds is the information an order needs: a name, an address, an email, and a record of what was bought. Data questions go to [email protected].
Written plainly, because a privacy policy nobody can read is a privacy policy nobody has consented to.
What the JellyBlue website itself collects
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary server logs: IP address, browser, the page requested | Serving the page and detecting abuse. Every web server keeps these. | A short rolling period, then discarded |
| Nothing typed into a form unless you send it | The two forms on the contact page send what you type and nothing else. | Until the question is answered |
| No advertising cookie set by this site | This website does not run its own advertising or profiling cookies. | n/a |
| No card number, at any point | Payment happens on the seller's checkout. This website never sees a card. | n/a |
If a future version of this site adds analytics, this table is where it will be stated, and the date at the foot of the page will move.
The distinction that matters here is between this website and the checkout you are handed to when you order. They are different systems run by different parties, and the checkout has its own privacy terms which govern the payment.
What the JellyBlue order desk holds
An order cannot exist without a record, and the record is what makes the sixty-day window enforceable. The order desk holds:
- Your name and the delivery address you typed.
- The email address you ordered with, which is where tracking and confirmations go.
- A telephone number if you gave one.
- What you bought, when, and for how much.
- The tracking reference for the parcel.
- Any correspondence you have had with the desk about the order.
It does not hold your full card number. Payment is processed by the seller’s checkout and its payment provider, and what comes back to the order record is a confirmation and the last few digits, which is what allows a refund to be returned to the same card.
That record exists for as long as the order might reasonably need to be referred to: the 60-day window, plus the period during which tax and accounting records have to be kept.
Your rights over JellyBlue order data, and how to use them
Ask what is held
Write to [email protected] with the email address you ordered with. Requests about an order record are passed to the order desk, which is where that data lives.
Ask for a correction
A misspelled name or a wrong address on a record is corrected on request. If the parcel has not yet been dispatched, ring +1 (302) 200-3480 instead, because that is a delivery question as well as a data one and it is time-critical.
Ask for deletion
Can be requested at any time. Records tied to a completed transaction may have to be retained for the statutory accounting period, and the reply will say which parts can be removed now and which cannot.
Unsubscribe
Every marketing email from the seller carries an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages about an order you placed are not marketing and will continue until the order is complete.
Third parties in a JellyBlue order
| Who | What they see | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The seller's checkout and its payment provider | Your card details, your name and your billing address | To take the payment. This website never sees them. |
| The carrier | Your name, delivery address and the parcel reference | To deliver the parcel. |
| The order desk | The full order record described above | To answer tracking questions and to process refunds. |
| Google Fonts | The request for the two typefaces this site uses | The fonts are loaded from Google's CDN, which sees the request as any CDN does. |
No data from this website is sold, and none is passed to an ad network.
